Oily Water Clean Up

Providing you a clear solution at all times

At Osso, we are committed in our role to help reduce operational and environmental risks associated with oily water cleanup.

Oil-contaminated waters can originate from several sources including, tank cleaning, deck drains or produced water out of specification for discharge or re-injection to the reservoir. These waters may also have fine particles and usually contain production chemicals which can produce stabilised emulsions.

Handling a solids loading of up to 4%, our 3-phase separators or disc stack centrifuges will remove fine particles down to 0.5 microns. Our equipment cleans up the water phase and recovers any hydrocarbons present.

Depending on the feedstock being treated, sometimes it is necessary to use specialised chemicals or heat to enhance separation.

Disc stack centrifuges can be deployed to clean up any of these types of contaminated waters:

  • Produced water

  • Slops

  • Oily water

  • Completion fluids

By treating oily waters at source, OSSO will ensure you:

  • Are environmentally and legislatively compliant

  • Relieve deck/floor space pressure

  • Reduce personnel and crane activities

  • Improve operational costs

  • De-risk overall operation
