THE CHALLENGE

PHE is a critical component in the distillery process and if found to be working ineffectively can result in serious delays and outages. Our client had several issues relating to their plate packs at one of their distilleries, including various plates with the wrong gaskets attached, old and new plates incorrectly mixed, and not to the correct specification. Additionally, the overall configuration of several plate packs was incorrect leading to the units not performing to their full efficiency.

HOW WE HELPED:

As a trusted partner to our client, we were asked to come in and provide crucial service and maintenance support. Our team having conducted a thorough review of the plate packs including an NDT inspection we swiftly identified where the issues were and proceeded to refurb all the plate packs bringing each one back to the correct specification.

We then worked with William Grant to produce a proactive maintenance schedule tailored to their specific requirements.  As part of the maintenance planning, we ensure all plate packs are tracked, serviced and performance monitored, with a spare plate pack available for every unit, mitigating the risk of lengthy downtime if an unscheduled outage were to arise.

STRONG RESULTS:

Our approach and experience ensured we delivered swift and seamless support, providing assurance that our client’s PHE packs are fully inspected, tracked, and continuously monitored enabling quick turnaround times for future inspections
